Our nervous system plays a vital role in keeping us safe. It’s also visually stunning, and that’s what inspired me to focus a collection of work with characteristics of our nervous system.
“Nervous” has a way of drawing you in and making you think about how complex we really are. When I was personally having mental health struggles, it felt like my body was attacking me. I though that my nervous system hated me, but then I learned it’s the exact opposite. The beauty of our nervous system is that it’s meant to keep us safe, and also to make us feel safe. It’s our job to nourish it and be as kind to it as we can.
